How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before accessing internal switches.
- Check portafilter fit:
- Ensure you are using the correct Sage portafilter for your model.
- Lock it firmly into the group head until it reaches the usual tight position.
- Inspect lugs: Check the portafilter ears/lugs for wear; if they are rounded off, they may not actuate the internal switch.
- Internal switch (advanced):
- Access the underside of the group head to locate the portafilter microswitch.
- Manually press the switch and see if the message changes.
- Repair: Replace the portafilter if the lugs are worn. Replace or adjust the portafilter microswitch if it is faulty or misaligned.
