How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before removing the hopper.

  • Remove and reseat hopper:
    • Empty beans from the hopper.
    • Reinstall the hopper and rotate it firmly to the LOCK position until it clicks.
  • Inspect lock tab: Check the underside of the hopper for a plastic tab that actuates the internal switch; if broken, the machine will not detect the lock.

  • Internal switch (advanced):
    • Locate the hopper lock microswitch inside the grinder housing.
    • Test it manually to confirm it changes state when pressed.
  • Repair: Replace the bean hopper if the lock tab is broken. Replace the hopper lock microswitch if it is not functioning.
