Possible Causes
Blocked flow meter, limescale in water circuit, defective flow meter sensor, kinked silicone water hose between pump and boiler
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely before opening any covers.
- Run descaling cycle: Fill the tank with descaling solution and run at least one full descaling cycle to dissolve limescale in the flow meter and tubing.
- Check water tank outlet: Ensure the valve at the bottom of the tank opens freely when pressed. Clean any debris.
- Inspect hoses (advanced): If you are comfortable opening the unit, remove the top cover and check the silicone hoses for kinks or pinches. Straighten or reseat as needed.
- Test with clear water: After descaling, run 2–3 full tanks of clean water to flush the system.
- If error remains: The flow meter (small plastic wheel sensor in the water line) may be defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
