Possible Causes
Worn or flattened brew head gasket, lid not closing fully, debris on seal, warped lid or brew head
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Hot steam can cause burns. Unplug the machine and let it cool before touching the brew head.
- Inspect gasket: Open the lid and examine the circular rubber seal around the brew head. Look for cracks, flattening, or hardening.
- Clean seal and mating surface: Wipe both with a damp cloth to remove coffee residue.
- Check lid closure: Ensure the lid closes firmly and latches with a click. Do not overfill the pod holder.
- Replace gasket: If the seal is worn, replace the brew head gasket with a compatible Senseo part.
