Possible Causes

Faulty touch panel or keypad, Moisture ingress behind control panel, Loose ribbon cable to display board, Damaged UI controller on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before touching the control panel internals.

  • Dry the panel: If the panel has been exposed to steam or cleaning liquids, leave the machine unplugged for several hours to dry. Do not use a hairdryer or heat gun.
  • Clean surface: Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and then dry it. Avoid spraying cleaner directly onto the panel.
  • Power reset: After drying, plug in and test. Sometimes E14 clears after moisture evaporates.
  • Check ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the top/front cover and reseat the flat ribbon cable between the UI panel and main board. Inspect for corrosion or damage.
  • If E14 persists: The touch panel or UI board may need replacement. This should be done by a technician to avoid damaging the housing and seals.
