Possible Causes
Heavy limescale in boiler and tubing, Clogged inlet screen or filter, Partially blocked spray head, Weak vibration pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before descaling or removing parts. Unplug during cleaning.
- 1. Perform intensive descaling
- Fill the reservoir with a 1:1 vinegar and water solution.
- Run a brew cycle until halfway, then pause for 20–30 minutes to soak.
- Resume and complete the cycle, then repeat if flow is still slow.
- Finish with 2–3 clean water cycles.
- 2. Clean inlet and spray head
- Remove the water reservoir and clean the outlet screen with a soft brush.
- Open the filter basket and remove the spray head (if removable) to clear any coffee oils or mineral deposits.
- 3. Check water filter
- If your model uses a charcoal filter, replace it if it is older than 2 months or visibly dirty.
- 4. Pump assessment (advanced)
- If descaling and cleaning do not restore normal speed, the pump may be worn.
- Unplug, remove the bottom cover, and inspect the pump and hoses for kinks or restrictions.
- 5. Replace pump if needed
- Install a new Sunbeam-compatible vibration pump if the existing one is weak or noisy.
