Possible Causes
Failed warming plate heating element, Open thermostat, Blown thermal fuse in plate circuit, Loose wiring to plate
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool before removing covers. The plate can remain hot for some time after use.
- 1. Verify keep-warm settings
- Check if your model has an adjustable keep-warm time or temperature and ensure it is not set to OFF or minimum.
- 2. Observe plate temperature
- After brewing, carefully feel near (not directly on) the plate to see if any heat is present.
- 3. Inspect plate circuit (advanced)
- Unplug and remove the bottom cover.
- Check wiring from the control board to the warming plate for loose connections.
- Test the plate element and thermostat for continuity with a multimeter.
- 4. Replace failed components
- If the element is open, replace the warming plate assembly.
- If the thermostat or thermal fuse is open, replace with the correct Sunbeam parts.
