How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before starting a descale cycle. Unplug if you need to move the appliance.

  • 1. Run manufacturer-recommended descale
    • Fill the reservoir with a descaling solution approved for coffee makers or a 1:1 vinegar and water mix.
    • Start the dedicated DESCAL or CLEAN program if available.
    • If no dedicated program, run a full brew cycle and pause halfway for 15–20 minutes, then complete.
  • 2. Rinse thoroughly
    • Run at least 2–3 full cycles with fresh water to flush out any remaining solution.
  • 3. Reset the DESCAL indicator
    • Press and hold the DESCAL or CLEAN button for 3–5 seconds after completing the cycle.
    • If your model uses a different combination, refer to the user manual.
  • 4. Repeat if necessary
    • For heavily scaled units, a second descale cycle may be required to fully restore flow.
