Possible Causes

Moisture ingress into touch panel, Damaged membrane keypad, Loose ribbon cable between control panel and main PCB, Control PCB failure

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before opening the control housing.

Moisture and reset:

  • Dry the panel: If the keypad or touch panel has been exposed to steam or spills, unplug the unit and let it dry in a warm, dry room for 24 hours.
  • Power reset: After drying, plug the unit back in and hold the power or cancel button for 10 seconds to reset the electronics.

Panel inspection:

  • Remove the screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it forward.
  • Inspect the ribbon cable connecting the keypad to the main control PCB. Reseat the connector and ensure it is fully inserted.
  • Check for corrosion or burnt marks on the control PCB. If present, the board may need replacement.
  • If individual buttons do not respond but others do, the membrane keypad itself is likely worn and should be replaced.

Note: Replacement of the control PCB or touch panel should be done with the exact Swan part number to ensure compatibility.
