Possible Causes
Severe limescale in boiler or tubing, Clogged filter basket or permanent filter, Blocked shower head or outlet nozzle, Partially blocked vibration pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before disassembly.
Cleaning steps:
- Clean filter basket: Remove the filter basket and any permanent filter. Wash thoroughly with warm soapy water, clearing all mesh openings.
- Check paper filters: Ensure you are not using too fine a grind or double-stacking filters, which can slow flow.
- Clean shower head: On Swan models with a removable shower plate, unscrew it and clean all holes with a pin or brush.
Descale:
- Run at least one full descaling cycle. For very slow machines, pause the cycle halfway and let the solution soak for 20–30 minutes before continuing.
If flow remains slow after cleaning and descaling, the internal tubing or pump may be partially blocked and require professional service or replacement.
