Coffee maker takes much longer than usual to brew a full pot.

Safety first: Unplug and allow the unit to cool before descaling or cleaning.

• Descale thoroughly: Run at least one full descaling cycle with approved descaler. For severe scale, repeat the process.
• Clean shower head and basket: Remove and clean the shower plate and filter basket outlet to ensure unobstructed flow.
• Use filtered water: To prevent future scale, use filtered or low-mineral water if your local water is hard.

If brewing remains abnormally slow after descaling, the pump or internal tubing may be partially blocked and require professional service.
