How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before moving it or removing the water tank.
- Verify procedure: Consult your T-fal manual to ensure you are starting the descaling program correctly (button combination, water level, and solution concentration).
- Pre-flush with water: Run one or two normal water-only brew cycles to purge air and loosen scale before starting the official descaling program.
- Use proper descaler: Use a T-fal-approved descaling product. Avoid thick or homemade mixtures that may clog the flow meter.
- Repeat descaling: If the cycle stops early with E10, unplug, wait 10 minutes, then try again with fresh solution.
If E10 continues, the internal flow meter may be blocked or defective and should be inspected and replaced if necessary.
