Possible Causes
Stuck open reservoir bottom valve, Damaged O-ring at tank base, Cracked reservoir base, Debris preventing valve from sealing when removed
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and remove the reservoir over a sink.
- Test reservoir valve: Fill the tank and hold it over the sink. If water drips from the bottom valve when not pressed, the valve or seal is faulty.
- Clean valve area: Rinse the valve and surrounding O-ring. Remove any coffee grounds or scale.
- Inspect for cracks: Look closely at the base of the reservoir for hairline cracks.
If the valve continues to leak when off the machine, replace the water reservoir assembly.
