Cup icon flashes and machine will not start; no other icons lit.

Safety first: Unplug the machine before cleaning inside the brew head.

• Check T DISC placement: Ensure the T DISC is seated flat in the holder with the barcode facing down and the foil intact.
• Close lid firmly: Press the lid down until you hear a positive click.
• Clean scanner window: Wipe the barcode reader window with a soft, damp cloth.
• Test without disc: Remove the T DISC and close the lid. If the cup icon still flashes, the lid switch may not be engaging.
• If unresolved: The lid microswitch or barcode reader may need professional replacement.
