Possible Causes
Partially blocked water inlet valve under tank, Clogged internal water line, Faulty flow meter, Air lock in water circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before any disassembly. Allow it to cool if recently used.
- Check water tank and valve: Remove the tank and inspect the bottom valve. Press it gently with a clean tool to ensure it moves freely and water flows. Rinse to remove debris.
- Run a rinse cycle: Refit the tank, plug in, and run 2–3 rinse cycles (without T DISC) to purge air and minor blockages.
- Descale the machine: If not descaled recently, run a full descaling cycle using Tassimo-approved descaling tablets. Limescale can cause flow meter misreadings.
- Observe flow: If water flow is weak or pulsing, the internal flow meter or pump may be restricted or failing.
- Do not open the housing unless qualified: Internal access exposes live components. If descaling and cleaning do not resolve the issue, contact a service technician to test/replace the flow meter and inspect the pump and hoses.
