How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the machine before inspecting the brew head mechanism.
- Check closure: Open and close the brew head firmly until you hear a clear click. Ensure the T DISC is seated flat in the holder and the barcode faces down.
- Inspect for obstructions: Remove the T DISC holder and clean any coffee residue or foil fragments around the piercing unit and sealing area.
- Test the latch: With the machine unplugged, close the lid and gently try to lift it. Excessive play or failure to latch suggests a worn latch.
- Check lid switch (externally): Plug in, close the lid, and see if the status light changes from standby to ready. If it does not, the lid microswitch may not be actuated.
- Do not bypass safety switches: If the latch or switch is defective, replacement of the brew head or switch assembly is required and should be done by a technician.
