Possible Causes
Coffee residue buildup on drip-stop mechanism, Broken or misaligned drip-stop spring, Warped brew basket outlet, Foreign object lodged in outlet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Allow hot coffee to cool before handling the brew basket to avoid burns.
- Manual test: Remove the brew basket and operate the drip-stop lever or button by hand. It should move freely and open the outlet.
- Cleaning:
- Soak the brew basket in hot soapy water for 15–20 minutes.
- Use a small brush to clean around the drip-stop mechanism and outlet hole.
- Inspect spring and seal: Check that the spring returns the valve to the closed position and that the seal is not deformed. Replace the brew basket if parts are damaged.
