How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching the switch housing or opening the base.
- External check: Gently wiggle the switch. If the light flickers or the unit powers off/on with slight movement, the switch or its connections are suspect.
- Internal inspection:
- Remove the bottom cover.
- Inspect the on/off rocker switch terminals for loose connectors. Tighten or crimp as needed.
- If the switch body is cracked or discolored, replace the switch.
- Replacement: Install a new rocker switch with the same rating and terminal layout. Transfer wires one by one to avoid miswiring.
