Unit heats but no water flows up through the outlet arm (no dripping into carafe)

Safety: Unplug the machine and let it cool fully before working on it. Hot metal and steam can cause burns.

• Initial descale:
  • Fill the water reservoir with a 1:1 mixture of white vinegar and water (or a manufacturer-approved descaling solution).
  • Place the empty carafe on the hotplate and start a brew cycle.
  • Allow about half the solution to run through, then switch off and let it sit for 20–30 minutes to dissolve scale.
  • Restart and complete the cycle, then run 2–3 full reservoirs of clean water to rinse.
• Check outlet arm: Remove the stainless steel or plastic outlet arm (the tube that drips into the brew basket). Inspect for mineral deposits or coffee oils. Clean with a small brush or pipe cleaner and hot soapy water, then rinse thoroughly.
• Inspect reservoir base: Look into the reservoir bottom for debris blocking the inlet hole. Rinse and wipe out any sediment.
• Persistent blockage (advanced): If no flow after descaling, the boiling tube or internal check valve may be fully blocked. This requires opening the base, disconnecting the silicone hoses from the boiler, and manually clearing or replacing the blocked tube/valve. This is best done by a technician.
