Possible Causes
Cracked silicone hose between boiler and outlet arm, Loose hose clamp on boiler connection, Corroded or pinholed copper boiler, Leaking check valve or fitting
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit immediately and allow it to cool. Water inside an energized appliance is dangerous.
- External check: Confirm the leak is not from an overfilled carafe or spilled water around the reservoir. Dry the exterior and run a short cycle while observing.
- Inspect under base (advanced):
- Remove the bottom cover.
- Place the unit on a towel and fill the reservoir with water.
- Without plugging in, tilt slightly and look for water seeping from hoses, joints, or the boiler.
- Hose repair: If a silicone hose is cracked or loose, remove it and replace with a new high-temperature silicone hose of the same diameter. Secure with proper clamps.
- Boiler leak: If water appears from the body of the copper boiler itself (pinhole or seam), the boiler assembly must be replaced; do not attempt to solder or patch.
- Reassemble: Dry all components, reinstall the base, and test with a small amount of water.
