Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before any inspection. If you are not comfortable working with mains voltage, contact a technician.

Steps:

Check outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance to confirm it has power.
Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks. If damaged, the cord must be replaced; do not tape over defects.
Test power switch: Ensure the main power switch (if present) is firmly in the ON position. Some Tefal models have a rocker switch at the side or rear.
Access internal fuse (advanced): Remove the housing and locate the fuse on the main PCB or near the power entry. If blown, investigate for short circuits before replacing with the exact same rating.
Board inspection: Look for burnt components or tracks on the PCB. If present, the board should be replaced rather than repaired at home.
