How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- Dry the panel: If the panel was recently cleaned or exposed to steam, leave the machine unplugged for several hours to allow moisture to evaporate.
- Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the front or top cover to access the control panel. Check that the flat ribbon cable is fully inserted and locked in its connector on both the UI board and main PCB.
- Clean contacts: If corrosion is visible, gently clean the connector contacts with electronic contact cleaner and allow to dry.
- Check for cracks: Examine the touch panel PCB for cracks or broken solder joints, especially near mounting points.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the panel, plug in, and test button response. If E14 persists or keys remain unresponsive, the user interface board may need replacement.
