Safety first: Unplug before cleaning.
Steps:
- Initial cleaning: Wash the water tank, carafe, and removable parts with warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Flush cycles: Run at least 3–4 full tanks of plain water through the machine (no coffee) to flush internal parts.
- Use proper cleaners: Only use Tefal-approved descalers and avoid scented detergents in any part that contacts water.
- Change water source: Try filtered or bottled water to rule out tap water taste issues.
