Possible Causes
Clogged inlet filter in reservoir, Blocked internal silicone hoses, Severely scaled thermoblock, Failed vibration pump
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before handling water components.
- Check reservoir outlet: Remove the Tristar water tank and inspect the outlet valve and any mesh filter. Clean under running water with a soft brush.
- Descale aggressively: Fill the tank with descaler solution and run repeated brew cycles (without coffee) until some flow is restored, then flush with clean water.
- Listen to the pump: During a brew attempt, listen for a buzzing or clicking sound from the base. If silent, the pump may not be receiving power or is failed.
- Inspect hoses (advanced): Remove the back/bottom cover and check silicone hoses for kinks, blockages, or disconnections. Replace any hardened or collapsed hoses.
Note: If descaling and hose checks do not restore flow, the vibration pump likely needs replacement.
