Possible Causes
Overheating of thermoblock, Loose mains or internal wiring connection, Failing thermal cutout, Defective main control PCB relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool fully.
- Ventilation: Ensure the Tristar unit has at least several centimeters of clearance on all sides and is not under a low cabinet trapping heat.
- Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to improve water flow and reduce heater stress.
- Check cord and plug: Wiggle the cord gently at the plug and at the entry to the machine (while unplugged). If it feels loose or damaged, replace the cord.
- Internal wiring (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and inspect all spade connectors on the heater, thermostat, and PCB. Tighten any loose connectors.
Note: If the unit consistently shuts off at the same point in the cycle, the thermal cutout or control board may be failing and should be replaced.
