Possible Causes
Moisture ingress into control panel, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and PCB, Damaged touch sensor board, Failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before opening the housing.
- Dry the control panel: If the panel was recently wiped with a wet cloth or exposed to steam, unplug the unit and let it dry for 24 hours in a warm, dry room. Do not use a hair dryer directly on the panel.
- Check for stuck buttons: Gently press each button around the display to ensure none are physically stuck. Wipe away any coffee residue.
- Inspect ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the top or front cover to access the control panel. Locate the flat ribbon cable or small harness connecting the keypad/touch board to the main PCB. Reseat both ends carefully.
- Look for corrosion: If you see green/white corrosion on the keypad board or connector, the panel may need replacement.
Note: If E6 persists after drying and reseating cables, the keypad or main control PCB is likely defective and should be replaced.
