Possible Causes
Open warming plate heating element, Faulty warming plate thermostat, Loose wiring to hot plate, Failed hot plate relay on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool before inspection.
- Check settings: Ensure the keep-warm function is enabled on your Tristar model and that the auto-off timer has not expired.
- Test plate temperature: After starting a brew, carefully feel near (not directly on) the plate edge after a few minutes to see if it warms at all.
- Internal check (advanced): Remove the bottom cover and locate the warming plate element and thermostat. Check for loose connectors and test continuity of the element and thermostat with a multimeter.
Note: If the element is open or the thermostat is faulty, replace the affected part. If both are good, the control PCB relay may be defective.
