Possible Causes
Worn reservoir outlet O-ring, Debris on tank valve, Cracked reservoir body, Damaged tank docking seal on base
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and remove the reservoir.
- Clean outlet valve: Rinse the bottom valve of the Tristar tank under warm water. Use a soft brush to remove coffee grounds or scale.
- Inspect O-rings: Check the rubber O-ring(s) around the outlet. If flattened, cracked, or missing, replace them with food-grade O-rings of the same size.
- Check base seal: Inspect the seal or grommet where the tank sits on the machine. Clean and replace if torn or deformed.
- Test for cracks: Fill the tank and set it on a dry towel off the machine. If it leaks, the tank itself must be replaced.
Note: Always seat the reservoir firmly to ensure a proper seal.
