Possible Causes

Cracked silicone hose, Loose hose clamp on pump or thermoblock, Leaking thermoblock gasket, Cracked water reservoir or tank seal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker immediately and dry any spilled water. Do not operate with an active leak.

  • Check reservoir: Remove the Tristar water tank, fill it over a sink, and check for cracks or leaks around the outlet valve. Replace the tank if it leaks.
  • Inspect base: Turn the unit upside down (after fully draining and drying) and remove the bottom cover. Look for water trails or mineral deposits to trace the leak source.
  • Tighten connections: Check all hose connections on the pump, flow meter, and thermoblock. Tighten or replace hose clamps as needed.
  • Replace damaged parts: Replace any cracked silicone hoses or worn O-rings/gaskets on the thermoblock connections.

Warning: Do not continue using the machine until the leak is fully resolved; water inside can cause electrical shorts.
