Restricted Water Flow from Scale Buildup
Coffee maker brews extremely slowly; a full pot takes much longer than normal.

Possible Causes
Heavy limescale in heating block, Partially clogged internal tubing, Clogged brew basket outlet, Clogged water filter cartridge in reservoir
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit and let it cool before cleaning.
- Descale thoroughly: Fill the reservoir with a manufacturer-approved descaling solution mixed with water. Run a full descaling cycle as described in the Wolf Gourmet manual, then run 2–3 full reservoirs of fresh water to rinse.
- Clean brew basket: Remove the brew basket and wash it with warm, soapy water. Pay special attention to the outlet hole at the bottom; clear any trapped grounds.
- Check water filter: If your model uses a reservoir filter cartridge, replace it or temporarily remove it and test the brew speed without it.
- Repeat if needed: In areas with very hard water, you may need to repeat the descaling process to fully restore flow.
- If still slow: Internal tubing or the heating block may be heavily scaled or partially blocked and may require professional disassembly and cleaning or replacement.
