Possible Causes
Cracked water reservoir or outlet fitting, Loose or split silicone hose, Failed hose clamp on heating block, Leaking heating block gasket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker immediately. Water and electricity are a dangerous combination.
- Identify source: Remove the reservoir and inspect it for cracks, especially around the outlet. Fill it over a sink and check for drips.
- Check external seals: Inspect the reservoir seating area and any visible gaskets for damage or debris preventing a proper seal.
- Dry the area: Wipe up all water around and under the unit. Do not operate the coffee maker while it is wet.
- Test with small amount of water: Refill the reservoir halfway, reseat it, and observe the unit (unplugged) for any passive leaks before plugging it in.
- If water appears from inside the housing: An internal hose, clamp, or the heating block itself is leaking. Do not use the unit; contact a qualified technician for internal inspection and repair.
