Possible Causes
Water reservoir not fully seated, Reservoir magnet or float misaligned, Reservoir level sensor switch fault on base, Debris on reservoir sensor area
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the Wolf Gourmet coffee maker before inspecting parts. Allow the unit to cool completely if recently used.
- Check reservoir seating: Remove the water reservoir, empty it, then firmly reseat it on the base. Make sure it is fully down and flush with the housing.
- Inspect reservoir bottom: Look for the small magnet/float or molded tab that interacts with the base sensor. Ensure it moves freely and is not stuck with scale or debris.
- Clean sensor area: Wipe the base area where the reservoir sits with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Remove coffee grounds, scale flakes, or other debris that may block the sensor.
- Refill and test: Fill the reservoir to at least the minimum level, reseat it, plug the unit back in, and attempt a brew cycle.
- If E01 persists: The internal reservoir level sensor or switch assembly may be faulty and typically requires disassembly of the base. This should be done by a qualified technician to avoid electric shock and damage to the housing.
