Possible Causes

Clogged inlet or internal tubing, Scale buildup in flow meter, Faulty flow meter sensor, Air lock in water line from reservoir to pump

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker and let it cool before handling.

  • Check reservoir and filter: Remove and reseat the water reservoir. If your Wolf Gourmet model uses an internal water filter cartridge, remove it temporarily and try brewing without it to rule out a blocked filter.
  • Run a cleaning cycle: Fill the reservoir with a descaling solution (per Wolf Gourmet instructions) and run a cleaning/descale cycle. This can clear scale from the flow meter and tubing.
  • Clear air lock: With the reservoir full, remove and reseat it a few times to help purge trapped air. Start a brew cycle and listen for the pump; if it runs but no water flows, stop the cycle and repeat.
  • Inspect for kinks: If accessible without disassembly, visually inspect the reservoir outlet and any visible silicone hoses for kinks or pinches.
  • If E03 persists: The internal flow meter or its sensor wiring may be defective. Replacement requires opening the unit and disconnecting water lines, which should be done by a professional technician to avoid leaks and electrical hazards.
