Possible Causes
Open or shorted NTC temperature sensor on heating block, Damaged sensor wiring harness, Corroded connector on control board, Control board input fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the unit before any inspection. Do not attempt to bypass temperature sensors.
- Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for 5–10 minutes, then plug it back in and check if the error clears.
- Check for moisture: Inspect around the base and rear of the coffee maker for signs of leaks or condensation that may have reached the electronics. If moisture is present, allow the unit to dry completely (24 hours in a dry area) before retrying.
- Environment check: Ensure the coffee maker is not stored or used in extremely cold environments, which can cause sensor readings outside normal range at startup.
- If E04 remains: The NTC sensor mounted on the heating block or its wiring is likely faulty. Accessing and replacing this sensor requires opening the housing and working near high-voltage components; this should be done by a qualified technician.
