Display shows E05 and the unit shuts down or refuses to brew.

Safety first: Unplug the coffee maker before touching any part of it.

• Hard reset: Unplug the unit for at least 10 minutes to fully discharge internal capacitors. Plug it back in and check if the error clears.
• Check outlet and power: Plug the coffee maker directly into a known-good wall outlet (no power strips or surge protectors) to rule out supply issues.
• Inspect for visible damage: Without opening the unit, look for burn marks, melted plastic, or a burnt smell around the control panel area, which indicates board damage.
• Surge protection: If the error appeared after a storm or power event, the control board may be damaged. Future use should include a quality surge protector.
• If E05 persists: Internal diagnostics or control board replacement is required. This involves disassembling the housing and disconnecting multiple harnesses; contact an authorized Wolf Gourmet service center.
