Possible Causes
Too fine coffee grind or overfilled basket, Clogged paper or permanent filter, Misaligned brew basket, Damaged basket gasket or lid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the unit to cool before opening the brew basket to avoid steam burns.
- Reduce coffee amount: Ensure you are not exceeding the recommended number of scoops for the selected brew size. Use a medium grind suitable for drip coffee.
- Check filter: Make sure the paper filter is properly seated and not folded over. If using a permanent filter, clean it thoroughly to remove fine particles.
- Inspect basket alignment: Reinsert the brew basket so it is fully seated and level. Confirm the lid (if present) is closed securely.
- Clean outlet: Rinse the basket outlet and drip-stop mechanism to remove any blockage.
- If leaks continue with correct loading: The brew basket gasket or lid may be warped or damaged and may need replacement.
