Coffee maker brews but no water or coffee comes out of the spout; water may return to the tank or drip inside.

Safety: Unplug and let the machine cool before disassembly.

• Clean brew head: Remove the portafilter or filter basket and scrub the brew head screen with a brush. Use a pin to clear blocked holes.
• Backflush (if supported): Use a blind filter and cleaning tablet to backflush the brew circuit.
• Descale: Run a full descaling cycle to dissolve internal scale.
• Inspect diverter valve: Open the housing and locate the diverter valve that routes water to coffee spout, hot water, or internal drain. Check for stuck positions or scale.
• Clean or replace hoses: Remove and flush any hoses that appear blocked. Replace hardened or opaque hoses.
• Replace diverter valve: If the valve does not move freely or leaks internally, replace the valve assembly.
