Zwilling
Start Circuit / Safety Interlock Not Satisfied
Coffee maker powers on but will not start brewing; pressing the brew button does nothing.

Possible Causes
Water tank not detected, Carafe not in place (drip models), Brew group not inserted correctly (automatic models), Faulty start button or touch sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before opening the housing; basic checks can be done with power connected but avoid internal parts.
- Check all user components: Ensure the water tank is full and properly seated, the carafe is in place, the drip-stop is open, and the brew group (if present) is fully locked in.
- Observe display icons: Many Zwilling models show icons for missing tank, carafe, or brew group. Resolve any indicated issue.
- Test buttons: Try other buttons or menu options. If only the brew button fails, the button or touch sensor may be defective.
- Inspect start button: For mechanical buttons, remove the front panel and check that the switch actuates and has continuity when pressed. Replace the switch if faulty.
- For touch panels: Reseat the ribbon cable to the UI board and clean the panel surface. If still unresponsive, replace the UI PCB.
