Possible Causes

Jammed brew group due to coffee residue, Broken brew group drive gear, Failed brew group motor, Faulty position microswitch or sensor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the machine before removing the brew group or accessing internal mechanisms.

  • Remove and clean brew group: Open the service door, remove the brew group (if user-removable), and rinse it thoroughly under warm water. Let it dry and lightly lubricate moving joints with food-safe silicone grease.
  • Check for obstructions: Inspect the brew chamber area for loose coffee grounds, broken plastic pieces, or foreign objects blocking movement.
  • Reinsert brew group correctly: Ensure the brew group is locked in the correct position as per the user manual. Misalignment can trigger E07.
  • Inspect drive mechanism: With covers removed (unit unplugged), inspect the drive motor, gears, and linkage. Look for cracked gears or stripped teeth.
  • Check position switches: Locate the microswitches or position sensors that detect brew group home and brew positions. Verify that actuators are not bent and that switches click mechanically when pressed.
  • Replace damaged parts: Replace broken gears, the brew group motor, or faulty microswitches as needed. Reassemble and test.
