Possible Causes
Full drip tray not emptied, Internal leak onto base tray, Faulty leak sensor or float switch, Loose hose connection inside machine
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the machine before handling internal leaks. Water and electricity are dangerous together.
- Empty drip tray: Remove and empty the drip tray and used coffee container. Clean and dry thoroughly.
- Dry internal base: If accessible, remove the side or rear panel and check the base for pooled water. Carefully dry with towels and allow to air dry completely.
- Reset sensor: Some Zwilling models use a float or conductivity sensor in the base. Ensure the float moves freely and is not stuck in the "full" position.
- Run a test: After drying, reassemble, plug in, and run a short rinse cycle while observing for leaks.
- Locate leak source: If water reappears, inspect hoses from the pump to thermoblock, from thermoblock to brew group, and around the water tank connection for drips during operation.
- Repair leak: Tighten hose clamps, replace cracked silicone hoses, or replace leaking fittings. If the leak is from the thermoblock or internal reservoir, replace the faulty component.
