Grinder does not run at all; machine may skip grinding and brew only hot water or show a generic fault.

Safety: Unplug the machine before internal inspection.

• Check for jam: Remove beans and attempt to rotate the upper burr carrier by hand. If seized, clear any obstruction and clean the grinder.
• Inspect wiring: Trace the grinder motor wires from the motor to the control board. Ensure connectors are secure and wires are not broken.
• Test motor (advanced): With the motor disconnected, test its resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor that must be replaced.
• Control board: If the motor is good but never receives power during a grind command, the control board's driver circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
