Possible Causes
Milk residue clogging steam tip, Scale buildup in steam circuit, Partially blocked steam solenoid
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Steam can cause severe burns. Allow the machine to cool and release pressure before working on the wand.
- Clean steam tip: Unscrew the tip and soak it in hot water with milk system cleaner. Use a fine needle to clear each hole.
- Purge after each use: After frothing, always open the steam for a few seconds to clear milk from the wand.
- Descale: Run a descaling cycle that includes the steam circuit.
- Inspect wand and valve: If performance is still poor, remove the wand and check for internal blockages. Clean or replace the wand and, if necessary, the steam solenoid valve.
