Possible Causes
Worn or hardened brew head gasket, Dirty gasket sealing surface, Incorrectly locked portafilter or brew basket
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Hot water can burn. Allow the machine to cool before touching the brew head.
- Check portafilter/basket: Ensure it is properly locked into place and not overfilled with coffee.
- Clean gasket area: Use a brush to clean coffee oils and grounds from the brew head and gasket groove.
- Inspect gasket: Look for cracks, flattening, or hardening of the rubber gasket. If worn, it must be replaced.
- Replace gasket: Pry out the old gasket with a blunt tool, clean the groove, and press in a new Zwilling-compatible brew head gasket. Test for leaks.
