Possible Causes

Battery pack protection circuit tripped, Defective lithium-ion battery pack, Faulty main power switch on handle, Open circuit in battery-to-main-PCB harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Always switch the vacuum OFF, remove the battery pack (if removable), and disconnect the charger from the mains before inspecting anything.

  • 1. Check battery seating: Remove the battery pack from the handle or base. Inspect the contacts for dust, corrosion, or deformation. Clean gently with a dry cloth and reseat the battery firmly until it clicks.
  • 2. Try a full reset charge: Place the vacuum on its Beko charging dock or connect the Beko charger directly. Leave it on charge for at least 3–4 hours, even if no lights appear. Some Beko packs reset their protection circuit after a sustained charge.
  • 3. Test the charger: Verify that the charger’s LED is lit when plugged in. If the charger LED is off or flashing abnormally, test the charger on another compatible Beko cordless vacuum if available, or use a multimeter to confirm output voltage matches the rating on the label.
  • 4. Inspect the power button: Press and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds to see if the unit wakes from a protection state. Check for a sticky or loose button. If the button feels loose or does not click, the handle switch assembly may be faulty.
  • 5. Check wiring to main PCB: If you are comfortable with basic disassembly, remove the dust bin and access screws to open the main body. Inspect the battery-to-main-PCB harness for loose connectors or damaged wires. Reseat all connectors firmly.
  • 6. When to stop: If the vacuum still shows no signs of life after a full charge and connector checks, the battery pack or main control PCB is likely defective. Do not attempt to open the battery pack; replacement is the safe option.
