Cordless vacuum shows E04 and the brushroll in the motorised floor head stops spinning, even though suction continues.

Safety first: Turn OFF the vacuum, remove the battery, and disconnect the floor head from the wand.

• 1. Remove the brushroll: On most Beko cordless heads, a locking tab or coin slot allows the brushroll to be removed. Unlock and slide the brushroll out.
• 2. Clear debris: Cut away hair, threads, and fibres from the brush bar with scissors. Pay special attention to the ends where they enter the bearings.
• 3. Check bearings and end caps: Spin the brushroll by hand. It should rotate freely. If stiff, remove the end caps (if removable) and clean out hair and dust. Lightly lubricate metal bearing surfaces with a tiny drop of light machine oil, avoiding plastic parts.
• 4. Inspect the drive system: Look inside the floor head for a belt or gear drive from the brush motor. If the belt is broken, stretched, or melted, it must be replaced with a compatible Beko belt or complete nozzle assembly.
• 5. Test the brush motor: With the brushroll removed, reattach the head to the vacuum and briefly power on (keep fingers clear). If the brush motor does not spin or makes grinding noises, the motorised head assembly is likely faulty.
• 6. Replace if needed: If cleaning and freeing the brushroll does not clear E04, replace the motorised floor nozzle or brushroll motor module as specified for your Beko model.
