Possible Causes
Stuck power or mode button on handle, Moisture ingress into control panel, Damaged ribbon cable between handle PCB and main PCB, Faulty handle control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before working on the handle or control panel.
- 1. Check for stuck buttons: Press each button on the handle repeatedly to ensure it moves freely and returns. If a button feels stuck, gently work it around the edges to free it.
- 2. Dry out moisture: If the vacuum was recently cleaned with liquid or used in a damp environment, leave it in a warm, dry room for 24–48 hours with the battery removed to allow moisture to evaporate.
- 3. Visual inspection: Open the handle housing (if screws are accessible) to inspect the control PCB. Look for corrosion, residue, or damaged tracks around the buttons.
- 4. Check ribbon cable: Ensure the ribbon or wire harness from the handle PCB to the main PCB is fully seated and not pinched.
- 5. Replace handle PCB: If E13 persists and buttons do not respond correctly, the handle control PCB is likely faulty and should be replaced as a complete handle/control assembly.
