Possible Causes

Foreign object lodged in motor fan, Damaged or unbalanced motor impeller, Worn motor bearings, Loose motor mounting screws

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Remove the battery and wait for all moving parts to stop before opening the unit.

  • 1. Check for simple blockages: Remove the dust bin and cyclone to access the motor inlet. Look for small objects (e.g., stones, screws) lodged near the fan. Remove carefully with non-metallic tools.
  • 2. Listen to the motor: With the bin removed but filters in place, briefly power the unit (battery inserted) and listen. Strong vibration or grinding indicates internal motor damage.
  • 3. Inspect motor mount: If comfortable, open the main body to access the motor housing. Check that all mounting screws are tight and that rubber mounts are intact.
  • 4. Do not run with severe vibration: Continued use with a vibrating motor can damage the housing and electronics. Stop using the vacuum until repaired.
  • 5. Replace motor assembly: If the impeller is cracked, bent, or the bearings are noisy, replace the complete motor assembly specified for your Beko cordless model.
