Cordless vacuum leaves debris behind on carpet even though suction seems normal

Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before inspecting the nozzle.

• Confirm brush rotation: With the battery installed, briefly run the vacuum and look at the brush roll (keep hands and hair away). Ensure it spins at full speed. Then remove the battery again.
• Inspect bristles: Check if the bristles are worn down, flattened, or missing. Replace the brush roll if bristles are significantly worn.
• Clean nozzle intake: Remove any lint or hair buildup at the front edge and intake opening of the nozzle.
• Adjust cleaning mode: Use the appropriate power mode and, if available, carpet setting for thicker carpets.
• Replace brush roll: If the brush spins but still fails to groom the carpet effectively, install a new genuine Bissell brush roll designed for your model.
