Cordless vacuum makes loud rattling or grinding noises from the floor nozzle

Safety first: Turn OFF and remove the battery before working on the nozzle.

• Remove brush roll: Open the nozzle cover and take out the brush roll.
• Inspect for debris: Look for stones, screws, or hard objects lodged in the brush area or suction channel. Remove them carefully.
• Check bearings and end caps: Spin the brush roll by hand. If it feels rough, wobbly, or noisy, replace the brush roll.
• Inspect gears and housing: If accessible, check the brush motor gear and any intermediate gears for missing teeth or damage. Replace the gear set or nozzle assembly if damaged.
• Reassemble and test: After replacing worn parts, reassemble the nozzle and test. Persistent grinding indicates further internal damage and may require full nozzle replacement.
