Possible Causes
Damaged wiring harness in floor nozzle, Loose connector between nozzle and wand, Failed LED board, Faulty accessory power output on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Remove the battery before inspecting electrical connectors.
- Check connections: Detach the floor nozzle from the wand and inspect the electrical contacts. Clean any dust or debris and ensure the connectors are not bent or corroded.
- Inspect wiring: Look along the wand and into the nozzle neck for pinched or broken wires. If the wand harness is visibly damaged, replace the wand assembly.
- Test without nozzle: Run the vacuum without the nozzle attached. If F1 disappears, the fault is likely in the nozzle LED board or wiring.
- Replace nozzle assembly: On most Bissell cordless models, the LED board is integrated into the nozzle and not separately serviceable. Replace the complete floor nozzle if the LED or wiring is faulty.
- Main PCB check: If multiple nozzles show the same F1 fault, the accessory power output on the main control board may be defective and require replacement.
